NEW! Bookmarks

Available June 1
Bookmarks

The Seattle Research Institute (SRI) is proud to present Bookmarks, a series of sixteen original essays by esteemed members of Seattle literati. Each essay is published in a booklet the size and shape of a bookmark.

The Bookmark as object is svelte and light, but the writing is rich and heavy. Each unique essay makes a startling and articulate claim—from manifestos and declarations to prose poems and personal essays. These essays, like the objects themselves, will have use for you. They will hold your place in Seattle letters.

Beginning JUNE 1, Bookmarks will be for sale at local bookstores, coffee shops, bars, card stores, and SRI events. Sold for $3 a piece.

Bookmarks will be released as a series of three, premiered on June 1st with the works of David Shields, Rebecca Brown, Nico Vassilakis, Grant Cogswell, and Raphael Ginsberg. Series Two and Three will follow in August and October 2004.

The Bookmark Project is curated by Brian Goedde and Megan Purn.
